6 Reasons Every Traveler Needs Her Own Push-pin Map

I just received my Push-pin Travel Map in the mail from Holy Cow Canvas and I was so excited to hang it up! Not only do I love to travel, but I love to inspire others to follow their own paths and see the world. Keep reading to see the six reasons why every traveler needs her own customizable Push-pin Map to keep track of her travels.

1. Commemorate your travels

I love the quote “Only look back to see how far you’ve come.” Marking your travels with a pin will remind you to be proud of yourself, as each pin will represent how much you’ve grown from all the experiences you had along the way. Think of each pin as a little souvenir!

"Only look back to see
how far you've come."

Different color push-pins can show where you have been and where you want to go next. I chose blue pins for "travels taken" and black pins for "dream Destinations". You can customize the categories that are printed on right on the map!

Choose a map that compliments your space.

2. Decorate your space with something special

Your space at home should reflect what makes you happiest. If traveling makes you happy then it would be nice for your décor to include a reminder about the memories you have created. Not only are the maps from Holy Cow Canvas beautiful, but you can choose a design that complements your space. The maps can be fully customizable, so you can choose your own quote to be printed on the map (or use She is Not Lost if you like!) and choose your own categories for the map legend, making it truly yours.

3. Visualize the next check off your bucket list

Have you been saving up for your next holiday? Use your map to set your goals with a pin in each place you want to visit. Each day you see your map will be a reminder of where you will be someday soon and will motivate you to stick to your goals to get there. I have been dreaming of visiting Guatemala, the Philippines, and Kenya, and I am going to feel so accomplished when I change my pins from “Dream Destination” to “Travels Taken”!

4. Spark up a conversation

Anyone who sees your map will be full of questions! “Where was your favorite place?” “When did you go there?” “Where do you want to go next?” Having all of your past travels pinned on a map is a fun way to show someone where you have been- each pin tells its own story. You can also request what color push pins you want for each of your chosen categories.

5. Inspire your guests

Once your guests see your personalized Push-pin Map in all its glory, not only will they be inspired to travel more, but they will also be inspired to commemorate their travels in the same way! The great thing about Holy Cow Canvas is that they offer multiple sizes, styles, and configurations, and each map can be personalized. Push-pin Travel Maps also make great gifts for the traveler or dreamer in your life.

Maps from Holy Cow Canvas are customizable, you can choose to include your favorite travel quote or even your name. Create a legend that shows what the colors of the push-Pins mean.

Use your map to choose your next destination.

6. Discover new destinations

Once you have all of your past travels laid out, you will be able to clearly see which regions of the world you have yet to explore. According to my map, I have chosen a lot of destinations close to the equator. No surprise here- I am a big baby when it comes to visiting the cold. Now that I can see my past travels on the map, I know venturing toward the poles would be a step out of my comfort zone and likely to be full of rewarding experiences.

I customized my map to read "She is Not Lost" and it is a daily reminder to keep exploring.
