Erin Snow: The Best Fitting Ski Resort Apparel

Another 30+ day ski season in the books, and it’s only reaffirmed my love for my favorite ski resort apparel brand: Erin Snow. The fabrics are flawless and the fit is flattering, and though I own jackets and pants from other skiwear brands, I always find myself reaching for my Erin Snow pieces every morning that I head to the mountains.

The brand’s marketing is minimal, but I find that the high quality of the products speaks for itself and its mission highlighting environmental and social responsibility and transparency is most admirable. With a focus on sustainability, the idea is to own fewer, yet higher quality items that will last from season to season. I’ve worn my Erin Snow pieces for three seasons already, and the fit and quality have not diminished at all— they still look and feel just as they did when they were new.

Erin Snow Ski Jackets

I personally own and love the Kat Jacket and Lolita Jacket from Erin Snow. Aside from the flattering fits and breathable yet warm fabrics that allow for a full, unrestricted range of motion, what I love most about my Erin Snow jackets are the amount of pockets. I can easily store my ski pass, phone, keys, lip balm, and extra items in separate pockets, so I’m able to access each without fear of losing anything while going about my day on the mountain. My Erin Snow jackets also feature snap-close powder skirts at the inner waist line, and long knit cuffs at the wrists with thumb holes for warmth and protection from cold wind. The fit of my Kat Jacket is also slim enough that I can wear it under a heavier jacket on very cold days, and still benefit from its warmth, its many pockets, and its comfortable fit. I’ve also realized that the elastic waist belt provides a lot of warmth by creating a close fit, and if I choose to wear another jacket for a day while skiing, I will still use the Erin Snow belt from my Kat Jacket since it’s the most comfortable.

Erin Snow Ski Pants

My Jes Pants from Erin Snow are my favorite both on and off the mountain. In addition to being bluesign® approved, the fabrics used by Erin Snow feature the most comfortable stretch I’ve ever experienced in any pant— athletic or not. I love the black Jes Pant so much I have them in two sizes: one pair in my normal size that I can fit one thermal layer underneath, and another pair in a size up so I can fit two thermal layers underneath on colder days (when the temperature falls below 25 degrees F or so). I personally prefer the fit and feel of an in-the-boot ski pant, but Erin Snow makes a few styles of over-the-boot ski pants as well. The black in-the-boot Jes Pants are my go-to on any cold day, and in addition to being great for skiing, you can also wear them for other winter activities like ice-skating or snow-shoeing.

Keep in mind the Erin Snow pieces I own and have described above are water repellant but not totally waterproof so they are not ideal for a rainy ski day, but I have found them to be perfectly comfortable for all other skiing situations within a resort or ski station.

Where to Buy Erin Snow Skiwear

Erin Snow is sold by many online retailers including Moda Operandi, Farfetch, Mytheresa, Bloomingdale’s, Revolve, Net-a-porter, Carbon38, & LUISAVIAROMA. You can also support the circular fashion movement in the spirit of sustainability, and find a great deal on Erin Snow skiwear on resale sites like Vestiaire Collective, TheRealReal, or eBay. I’ve linked a selection of Erin Snow pieces from a variety of retailers below so you can browse availability or sign up for sale alerts.

You can also shop for Erin Snow directly on their website at ErinSnow.com. The brand is woman-founded and owned, and in line with their focus on sustainability, offers a program for repairing or recycling Erin Snow apparel. For items newer than 1 year, repair fees are covered for any possible manufacturer imperfections or failures (Note: I’ve never experienced any failures in my years of owning and skiing in Erin Snow), and for items older than 1 year, customers can pay a nominal fee to have any repairs completed for issues that may result from normal wear and tear. Though I’ve never needed to use their repair service, I’m delighted and impressed that they offer it.
