My Favorite Dog-Friendly 5-Star Boutique Hotels in Paris, France
Hรดtel Chรขteau des Fleurs
8รจme arrondissement
Hรดtel Chรขteau des Fleurs is one of the most beautiful hotels in Paris, in my opinion. With only 37 rooms and suites, the hotel fosters an intimate and inviting ambiance just a few steps away from the famed Champs-รlysรฉes. The gorgeous interiors are masterfully designed by Quintana Partners, setting it apart from anywhere else you could possibly stay in Paris. The Haussmannian exterior is quintessentially Parisian, and in a nod to its name, is quite literally adorned with flowers.
The lounge and bar in the lobby of Chรขteau des Fleurs has become one of my go-to spots for coffee dates and for catching up with friends that are visiting Paris. Every time we arrive to the property, Gigi and I are warmly welcomedโ and between the friendly service and the inspiring setting, we find ourselves wanting to stay forever.

Hรดtel Alfred Sommier
8รจme arrondissement
I love recommending Hรดtel Alfred Sommier because itโs centrally located in one of my favorite neighborhoods in Parisโ it feels close to everything yet still maintains a calming energy and atmosphere. Staying as a guest in this 19th century hรดtel particulier is an invitation to be transported to another era and experience the finest of French hospitality in what was once a historic family home. Relatively unassuming from the street, entering the hotel through their courtyard feels like being welcomed into a hidden palaceโ with 80 rooms and suites and a number of beautifully adorned salons and gilded event spaces, Hรดtel Alfred Sommier is an impressive choice for a visit to Paris with your pup.
Hรดtel Alfred Sommier is also located just a few short blocks away from mine and Gigiโs favorite dog-friendly park in all of Paris: Les Jardins des Champs-รlysรฉes. Gigi is quite shy and sometimes fearful of strangers, so we appreciate that this park is rarely crowded, which is surprising considering itโs in the center of Paris. If you plan to take your dog to the nearby Jardin des Tuileries, make note that they are only allowed in certain areas: the Jardin du Carrousel and the Terrasse du Bord de lโEau.

Important to note:
I write at length about traveling internationally, visiting hotels, and flying with my 3kg dog in airline cabins. Each hotel mentioned in this article may have different size or weight allowances (that may also be different than typical airline pet-in-cabin allowances), so be sure to consult the terms and conditions I have linked for each property for the most up-to-date information. Additional daily pet fees may apply, and vary by property.
La Fantaisie
9รจme arrondissement
La Fantaisie hotel is exactly that: a dreamscape that feels a world away from Paris, even though itโs located in the center of one of the cityโs most lively local neighborhoods. Designed by Martin Brudnizki, every corner of the hotel seems to be more imaginative than the last, ushering in a sense of whimsy to contrast its urban surroundings. La Fantaisie has 73 rooms and suites, each colorfully decorated and perfect for playing host for a girlsโ getaway or a fun city break with your pup (for me and Gigi, these things are one-in-the-same!).
The hotel features a number of delightfully-designed restaurants, bars, and lounges, but La Fantaisie especially shines in the summer when guests and visitors can frequent their secret garden courtyard, their rooftop terrace, and their street-side cafe.

Hรดtel Balzac
8รจme arrondissement
The atmosphere at Hรดtel Balzac offers an air of sophisticated elegance that you wonโt find elsewhere in Parisโ the design is tastefully modern but feels steeped in heritage, and above all is instantly welcoming. The lobby, lounge, bar, and spa at Hรดtel Balzac each invite a subdued sense of discretion, while the rooms and suites (58 in total) are cheerfully illuminated by warm, natural light. The service at Hรดtel Balzac is personalized in the finest sense of the word, and guests and their pets are treated to delightful hospitality by the expert staff from the moment they arrive to the moment they depart.
Located just off the Champs-รlysรฉes and nearby the Arc de Triomphe, a stay at Hรดtel Balzac is the perfect place to rest and relax between eventful days exploring Paris and lively evenings discovering the cityโs nightlife.

Le Grand Mazarin
4รจme arrondissement
As one of the only 5-star boutique hotels in the lower Marais, Le Grand Mazarin was a highly anticipated addition to the neighborhood when it opened in late 2023. The bar-restaurant Boubalรฉ located on the ground floor, welcomes travelers and locals alike into a whimsical world (also designed by Martin Brudnizki) and offers a taste of the the elevated hospitality that is found throughout the rest of the hotel.
Le Grand Mazarin retains an intimate atmosphere with its 61 rooms and suites, each of which features imaginative textiles and playful patterns that encourage guests to fall into a reverie. The hotel itself could be considered a dreamscape, where guests and their pets can rest comfortably before venturing out to explore Paris. Le Marais is famed for its shopping, and conveniently is home to a number of the cityโs best pet boutiques.

Tucked into a peaceful corner of the 6th arrondissement, a stay at Relais Christine feels like being welcomed into a private family home in one of Parisโ most desirable neighborhoods. Situated just steps from the Seine and nearby to Saint-Germain-des-Prรฉsโ best shopping, dining, cafes, and galleries, the vibrant surroundings of Relais Christine make it feel like a true hidden gem. The property also features a private garden courtyard, further adding to its charm as a unique accommodation in the city.
