My Favorite Vintage Shops in Paris
/A majority of my wardrobe consists of vintage and second-hand finds– and while I tend to prefer online shopping as I’m usually looking for something specific, living in Paris has naturally inspired me to discover which vintage shops offer the best selections and experiences.
As any vintage shopper knows, the experience of visiting a physical store can be hit-or-miss, but in the last few years that I’ve lived in Paris I've found my favorite shops that have consistently inspiring curations. These shops are also clean, easy to find, conveniently located, and sometimes found within iconic shopping destinations– so even if you don’t find something that perfectly suits you, you’ll still have an enjoyable experience.
Over the last decade or so, I seem to have lost patience for digging through funky racks of vintage clothes in search for bargains, and instead have gravitated toward organized, fresh-smelling, high quality, and thoughtfully curated selections. Thus, the shops I’ve listed below may seem to be relatively more expensive than others– but factored into the prices are all these elements that make the experience great. If your vintage shopping preferences sound like mine, or if you like my everyday style, you’ll love the shops I’ve included in this list.

My Favorite Places to Shop for Women’s Second-Hand and Designer Vintage in Paris France
7ème Ciel, Printemps Femme
9ème arrondissement
On my very first visit to Paris in 2021, I stumbled upon this newly-opened space in Printemps thanks to a poster I saw on the ground floor of the building. Accessing the top floor felt like a journey within itself, and I was delighted by the stained glass-lined staircase and art installations that adorned the space. The architecture of the Printemps Women’s building is stunning in its own regard, and the fact that the top floor space is dedicated to vintage and second-hand fashion (a movement I’m passionate about) makes it even more special. Because 7ème Ciel is beautiful and the selection is top-tier, it’s always my first recommendation whenever I’m asked for vintage shopping spots in Paris.
Half of the floor is dedicated to a selection of consignment items ranging from designer archive pieces and vintage to gently-worn but relatively current second-hand items. The other half of 7ème Ciel at Printemps is located under one of Boulevard Haussmann’s iconic domed roofs, and features curated collections from some of Paris’ top vintage vendors. When weather permits, visitors of Printemps can access a rooftop terrace offering views of the Eiffel Tower and the Opera Garnier– and in summer months there are often branded pop-up cafes from brands like Veuve Clicquot.
There’s always something that catches my eye whenever I step foot in 7ème Ciel at Printemps, and I’ve found a number of timeless pieces that I look forward to wearing for years to come.

[Re]Store, Galeries Lafayette
9ème arrondissement
Of all the vintage I’ve perused in Paris, [Re]Store at Galeries Lafayette not only has one of the best and largest selections, but also has the most variation in terms of price point offerings. The area occupies a large section of the store, and shoppers can find everything from no-name (but high quality) vintage to second-hand, high-end designer items.
One of France’s top second-hand vendors, Jaiio, has a dedicated and expansive section within Galeries Lafayette’s [Re]Store, offering well-organized and top-quality finds for women’s clothing and accessories. The selection at [Re]Store seems to turn over quickly, so there’s always something fresh and interesting each time I visit. I’ve found a number of great vintage pieces at [Re]Store, but by far my best purchase was a dark green shearling coat that was only 125€. I’ve worn it over a hundred times since I purchased it, and seem to get complimented on it every time.
Galeries Lafayette on Boulevard Haussmann is a Parisian institution and landmark that’s already on many visitors’ bucket lists– so if you happen to be passing through to gaze at their iconic domed ceiling or to take in the views from their free rooftop terrace, be sure to also pass by [Re]Store to potentially score on a unique vintage piece.

The shearling coat I found for 125€ at Galeries Lafayette [Re]Store back in 2022 is definitely my greatest vintage find ever. I’ve since worn it well-over a hundred times during winters in Paris and in the Alps.
29 Rue Charlot Vintage & Designer Archives
3ème arrondissement
I discovered 29 Rue Charlot because it’s another outpost of one of the vintage curators that I love, who also has a dedicated section at Printemps 7ème Ciel. The selection at this space is relatively smaller compared to the other recommendations I’ve mentioned thus far, but 29 Rue Charlot seems to only offer chic, quality finds. The shop features a handful of vintage vendors that rotate and update their collections often. If you find something you love when visiting 29 Rue Charlot, don’t hesitate to buy it because the merchandise moves quick! Trust me, I know from experience :’(
The shop is conveniently located on a cool corner in the upper Marais (and also just a few doors down from the first apartment I ever rented in Paris!), so it’s easy to pop in to have a look in between a coffee at Cortado and a sandwich from Chez Alain Miam Miam, or after taking a tour through the Marché des Enfants Rouges food hall.

Le Temple du Vintage - Système Solère
4ème arrondissement
I would say that Le Temple du Vintage is on the same level as 29 Rue Charlot in terms of size and having a great selection. Both locations even feature some of the same vintage curators, and if you happen to be in this part of the lower Marais it’s definitely worth a visit. I especially love this shop for its convenience and location, as you can easily pop in to have a look anytime you’re in the neighborhood.

Barracuda
4ème arrondissement
Barracuda is my top recommendation for anyone looking for vintage 501 Levis, but they also have a large selection of both men’s and women’s clothes in every category in the rest of the shop. Every time I’ve stopped by, their denim inventory has been extensive, and Amir the shop owner is super helpful in finding your sizes and organizing the seemingly endless supply of Levis.

Frip Sap
10ème arrondissement
Frip Sap can be hit-or-miss, (one time I went in the middle of summer and they only had heavy winter coats), but I include it on this list because the selection and prices are pretty great. The small shop usually has a good supply of vintage 501 Levis in addition to their collection of leather and shearling jackets, but in case you don’t find anything that suits you, you can easily pop over just a few blocks away to discover Canal Saint Martin and the surrounding neighborhoods.

Vestiaire Collective & Vinted
Shop online & ship to Paris
Depending on how long your visit is to Paris, you could plan ahead and coordinate to have your online vintage purchases shipped to a convenient pick-up point or locker in the city. This could potentially be risky given shipping or delivery delays, but if you have something very specific in mind that you’ve been able to find on a platform like Vestiaire Collective or Vinted, having it delivered to an address in Paris could be beneficial. This would allow you to avoid international shipping costs or would allow you to access listings from vendors who otherwise wouldn’t even ship internationally.
But due to the potentially complicated logistics of delivering to Paris, I would say this is a last-resort strategy and that you would be better off visiting any of the physical shops I’ve mentioned in this list.
Vintage shopping has become a passion of mine for its originality, uniqueness, and minimized effects on the environment. If you’re interested in seeing more of my personal style and discovering what’s on my wishlists on my favorite online vintage platforms, click here.
